The AirBoss HE/P100 is effective at filtering out 99.97% of airborne particulates and is oil proof. Yes that includes biological particulates and viruses. Unless you plan on walking into a thick cloud of tear gas, this filter will do the job. It's lightweight (3oz) and compact (2.2" tall) design makes it easy to carry and store. The filter fits into any mask with a 40mm NATO threaded connector. Each filter is new from AirBoss. Since there are no chemicals in the filter, they will not actively 'expire' like other filters such as the FR-C2A1, but still require care once taken out of the packaging.
