The animal ventilator SAV 2500 is a multifunctional ventilator ventilator for small experimental animals. The animal ventilator SAV 2500 works on the principle of intermittent positive pressure ventilation. Continuous air / oxygen flow, the screw valve controls the gas flow to the animal (inspiratory phase) or the exhaust flow (pause phase or expiratory phase). The gas exhaled by the animal is not discharged by the pump but directly into the atmosphere (passive exhalation). This gas can be used for subsequent measurements. Exhaled breath can also be directly immersed in the tube to generate positive end-expiratory pressure. This is very important for animals that use ventilators for a long time.
