The EBA 6.5 is a compressed oxygen closed-circuit escape respirator (CCER), also known as self-contained self-rescuer (SCSR). The rugged, transparent housing allows miners to quickly and accurately assess the condition of the equipment. The oxygen delivery system allows the user to immediately inhale from the device while wearing it and provides an oxygen flow rate of up to 100 liters at high operating rates. Manual adjustment of the oxygen valve will provide a user at rest with respiratory protection for up to 8 hours.
