One monitor for the entire episode of care
Dräger designed and developed the Infinity M540 to meet the needs of bedside equipment that monitors patients throughout the clinical process (preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative). The Infinity M540 can be connected to the Infinity network to support the growing demand for continuous monitoring, whether bedside or transfer monitoring, and it can maintain a continuous patient record of patients throughout their hospital stay.
The Infinity M540 can be used stand-alone or as a transfer monitor for the Infinity Acute Care System (IACS). It can monitor a variety of clinical parameters to keep track of a patient's changing condition-no reconfiguration required.
Infinity M540 stand-alone operation is the best solution for the post-anaesthesia resuscitation room (PACU) or emergency room. The parameters that must be measured in these situations are ECG, SpO2 and NiBP. Thanks to a variety of MPod and MCable plug-in accessories, the monitor can instantly expand its capabilities to better understand the changing conditions of the patient. For example, Infinity MCable-Masimo SET can connect Dräger Infinity M540 patient monitor with Masimo SET SpO2 sensor to provide continuous non-invasive monitoring. The monitoring parameters are: functional blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) of arterial hemoglobin, pulse and perfusion index .
Variable transfer volume
Infinity M540 * 's new transfer volume function allows different departments to configure alarm volume between 50% and 100% in 10% increments. For example, an emergency room (ED) (without a central station) may require a greater volume of transfers than an intensive care unit (ICU) (with a central station where patients are continuously monitored).
* VG2.0.4 and later has the function of transferring volume.
M500 network functions
With the Infinity M540 VG2.1 software, the M500 docking station can communicate directly with Infinity CentralStation, Symphony, Gateway, and Innovian anesthesia machines.
M500 docking station allows you to store profiles
Smart functions activate the memory chip in the M500 docking station. It gives you the flexibility to store monitoring settings that are specific to a particular office or a specific patient, while keeping the original Infinity M540 settings intact. For example, in an intensive care unit (CCU), you may need to view the ECG waveform displayed in green or turn off a specific alarm. At this time, if you connect the new Infinity M540 to the M500, clinicians do not need to adjust the settings every time .
Fast and safe patient transfer
The Infinity M540 integrates Dräger's Pick and Go technology for fast and easy patient transfer. Disconnect the Infinity M540 monitor with one hand and automatically switch from wired to wireless mode *-No need to replace the monitor or cable. The Infinity M540 is equipped with an easy-to-view widescreen display, so there is no need to switch to a separate transport monitor. In addition, the 180 ° automatic flip screen can connect the Infinity M540 to a docking station on either side of the patient at the bedside or during transfer, while keeping the screen in a proper viewing position at all times.
During the transfer process, patient safety is ensured through comprehensive parameter monitoring, alarms, and event storage. The Infinity M540 sends patient data to the Infinity network, which you can view on the Infinity CentralStation or using a remote viewing device. Real-time monitoring is ongoing-whether at the bedside or during transfer.
* Requires Wifi network
Part of a scalable in-hospital solution
One Infinity M540 will always follow the patient and send data in real time while the patient is in the hospital. Depending on the patient's condition and the treatment area in which it is located, the Infinity M540 can be used as a stand-alone device or as part of the IACS.
For example, a patient may initially use a stand-alone Infinity M540 in the ED, then be transferred to IACS, use the same Infinity M540 in the ICU or CCU, switch back to the stand-alone mode during the transfer phase, and then access the operating room again IACS, and finally, returns to stand-alone mode in PACU, stage treatment room / recovery room. Therefore, you can transfer the patient without reconnecting cables or interrupting patient records.
