The kit can consistently and efficiently recover viral DNA even when the virus titer is low, so that the virus can be detected with high sensitivity. The kit is CE marked and complies with the Directive 98/79/EC about in vitro diagnostic medical device (IVD-Directive). Products bearing the CE mark in accordance with the IVD-Directive can be used for diagnostic applications in countries / regions that recognize the directive. The kit can be used in a centrifuge, vacuum-manifold or on a robotic workstation.
